After a class study of the four major Ancient River Civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, and India), Upper El students worked in small self-selected groups to research and present their findings on other early civilizations including Aztecs, Incas, Mayans, Greeks, Romans, Australian Aborigines, Vikings, and the feudal Japanese. Each group created a tri-fold board to showcase their research. Each group also provided a snack representative of or inspired by their selected civilization. Lower Elementary and Middle School students were our guests for the Early Civilizations Cultural Fair.
