“Peace is” a poem by our Upper Elementary students

The Upper Elementary students wrote this poem about peace for the Spring Peace Ceremony today.  The project began with each student writing a “peace is” statement and then we combined them into lines of poetry.  The Upper Elementary students also shared poems by May Fenn and Langston Hughes. Alumni Spotlight-Meet the Richmonds

Alumni Spotlight-Meet the Richmonds! Alexander Richmond received a Presidential Scholarship to the University of Alabama and is in the honors college, along with Christopher. Alexander also has won numerous championships in goalball for visually impaired students. Christopher aspires to be an educator and help students, much as he was helped during his early elementary years with overcoming dyslexia. Hilltop Alumna Gets a Fulbright!

Great news! One of our alumna, Leah, just found out she received a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Spain. The Fulbright program is a competitive, merit based grant award for international exchange. Highly coveted and highly competitive, 53 Fulbright scholars have won Nobel Prizes and 78 have won the Pulitzer Prize.
