About PTO
The mission of our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to facilitate communication between parents, teachers, administrators and the Hilltop Board of Directors as well as to promote interaction amongst our families and provide fundraising for school needs not covered by regular fees and tuition. PTO members administer the hot lunch program, coordinate the recycling program, organize fundraising events, help with classroom activities, run the Scholastic Book Fair, coordinate Teacher Appreciation week and organize social events.
Some of the benefits the PTO provides to you and the school include: a school student directory, social functions, the school beverage and hot lunch programs, and the monthly PTO newsletter.В In the past, your PTO has provided funding for the preschool playground, school computer software, the security system and garden fencing. In the school years 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 alone we provided 3 SMART boards, a SMART table for the preschool and additional equipment needed by the middle school. We also helped out with funding to pave the driveway. We also gave money to each classroom to supplement their supply budget.
The Hilltop PTO does so many things to support our school, and just by virtue of being a Hilltop parent, you are already a member. We need all of our members to be as involved as possible, so please consider being a part of a PTO event, coming to a planning meeting, or volunteering to help out. Everyone is welcome.
