2nd Annual Art & Music Festival coming up April 15th

Everyone is invited to join us at Hilltop for the 2nd Annual Art & Music Festival on Friday, April 15 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. You can find more information in the March Newsletter and in the FAQ below.  We hope to see everyone there!

Hilltop Second Annual Art & Music Festival
Frequently Asked Questions

When is the event?

Friday, April 15th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
Where will it take place?

At Hilltop Montessori School

Will my child be performing?

All students except Toddlers will be performing. The preschool will perform as a group at the

beginning of the event, under the direction of Ms. Marcia. There will be multiple elementary performances by class, under the direction of Mr. Derek. The toddlers will not have a musical performance.

Will my child’s art be displayed?

Yes! Ms. Ona, the Elementary Art instructor, will have many representative pieces of the children’s art up. Additionally, the preschool teachers and Ms. C will have samples of the younger students’ work on display.

Will my child’s art be for sale?

No. This is a change from last year. Student art produced as a part of class is not for sale.

Will there be food?

Yes. We will have pizza, snacks and drinks available after the preschool performance.

What is the cost?

There is no charge. The PTO covers the cost of the food & drink.

Is this a fundraiser?

Yes! This is our main Spring fundraiser for Hilltop PTO. Each class will offer a selection of specially created projects for sale at a reasonable price. We hope you will find your child’s project irresistible. We will also gladly accept donations. All money raised will be used to fund school projects.

Why is it on a Friday this year?

Many parents last year indicated that Saturdays were difficult because of sports and other weekend commitments. Although we know it is inevitable that some families will have a conflict with this date (unfortunately, there is no perfect date), we hope it is a happy medium.

Can I invite grandparents or other family members?

Yes – absolutely.

Can I help out?

Yes! We need volunteers for several aspects of our event, ranging from sign making to cashier and other things in

between. If you would like to help out, contact Cindy Hood-Siegal (pto@hilltopmontessori.com) or any PTO officer, or check the PTO blog.

I have more questions. Who can I contact?

Please feel free to contact Cindy Hood-Siegal (pto@hilltopmontessori.com) or check the PTO blog for more information.

We hope to see you on the 15th!

March Newsletter now Available

Our Marchnewsletter is  now online. You can access it by selecting the Communications link above, then Newsletters. Take a look and let us know what you think.  PTO has been busy lately, funding all sorts of projects that benefit various classrooms and the school as a whole.

Spring is a great time to get involved with PTO. We have some fun events coming up and we could use your help, both in the planning process and on the day of the event. Crafty? Great – we’ve got crafts that need doing. Not a crafty bone in your body? No problem. We need worker bees too. Contact Cindy Hood-Siegal (pto@hilltopmontessori.com) for more info, or come to our next PTO meeting on 3/22.
