Montessori Toddler Curriculum

Hilltop's Toddler Curriculum includes Practical Life, Cognitive Skills, Motor Skills, Language Skills, Math Skills, Sensorial Skills, Science, Geography, Art, and Sign Language.

Cognitive Skills
The Toddler is encouraged to explore books and various jobs that ultimately increase ability to concentrate, work independently, and create foundations for learning.

Specific Objectives for Toddler Cognitive Skills
1.00 Demonstrates curiosity about self, others, environment
     1.10 Looks at books individually
     1.20 Selects activity/job on own
     1.30Engages in individual play/job
2.00 Responds correctly to yes and no
3.00 Learns through experimentation
4.00 Concentration span expanding
     4.10 Can do simple puzzle (2-4 pieces)
     4.20 Time with an activity lengthens
5.00 Learns object permanence
6.00 Sequences pictured events ( 2-4 elements)
7.00 Knows colors:
     red, yellow, blue, green, orange, brown, black, white, pink, purple
8.00 Follows directions (1-3 commands in sequence)
