Montessori Toddler Curriculum

Hilltop's Toddler Curriculum includes Practical Life, Cognitive Skills, Motor Skills, Language Skills, Math Skills, Sensorial Skills, Science, Geography, Art, and Sign Language.

Math Skills
The Toddler uses hands-on materials for learning concrete math concepts.  The Toddler begins to understand number concepts, both quantity and symbol, and the meaning of zero.  The child also begins to understand language used in performing simple single-digit addition.

Specific Objectives for Toddler Math
1.00 Numbering
     1.10 Counts by rote: 1-5, 1-10, 10-20
     1.20 Knows zero
     1.30 Recognizes sandpaper number and rods 1-10

2.00 Sorts objects by shape/ size/ color
3.00 Introduction to simple single digit addition
