Montessori Toddler Curriculum

Hilltop's Toddler Curriculum includes Practical Life, Cognitive Skills, Motor Skills, Language Skills, Math Skills, Sensorial Skills, Science, Geography, Art, and Sign Language.

Sign Language
The use of sign language in the Toddler Program helps the child express needs in a non-verbal manner.  This can help reduce the frustration level of the child who is in the earliest stages of verbal expression.  

Specific Objectives for Toddler Sign Language
1.00 Recognizes and can utilize basic signs
     1.10 Please, thank you, help
     1.20 Eat, drink, sleepy, hungry, etc.

2.00 Introduce signs in conjunction with seasonal units
3.00 Looks at sign language cards and books
4.00 Makes sign booklets for home
