Curriculum - Middle School
Hilltop Montessori School offers a traditional middle school curriculum for seventh and eighth graders that is designed to bridge the perceived gap between Montessori and secondary education. The middle school curriculum closely follows the Alabama State Course of Study. In addition to Algebra or PreAlgebra, Literature, Grammar, Science, and Civics, each middle school student participates in art, music, P.E., Spanish, and computer technology classes.
Most graduates of Hilltop's middle school program go on to private secondary schools in the Birmingham area, such as Indian Springs, Altamont, and the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
