Current News: Hilltop Receives another LEGACY GRANT!

Our school is the proud recipient of ANOTHER grant through Legacy in celebration of "Earth Month"! Our upper elementary and middle school students will be identifying native plants in Mt Laurel through resource materials. After the identification is complete, the children will help to permanently mark each species with small signs. The older students will work to cut a small path that will highlight the native plants along a walkway on our property. Once the trail and identification is complete, the younger students will work with the older children to create their own “catalogs” of native plants. Some of the money will also be utilized to create photographic images of native plants (turned into Montessori jobs) for all the classrooms.

The samples of the work and lessons will be available for use by the community in our Eco-Education Center. Information about Legacy, Inc. is available online at www.legacyenved.org.
