Hilltop Montessori School’s Annual Hilltop on the Green
It’s that Time Again!
It’s time again for the planning of our annual fundraiser, Hilltop on the Green, to be held on Saturday, November 20th at 6:30 p.m. at Old Overton Club. As in the past, Hilltop on the Green is an excellent way to participate in the school’s development, while having fun with the administration, board, teachers, parents and other stakeholders of Hilltop Montessori School. This adult event includes a fabulous dinner, silent auction, sponsorship opportunities and a live auction that will entertain by Jack Granger of Granger, Thagard & Associates. Although the event seems months ahead, now is the time to help us plan for this wonderful evening. Besides going ahead and lining up your favorite babysitter, here are several ways you can assist:
Do you have anything to donate?
As with other exclusive fundraisers, donations are the foundation of the evening’s success. Typical donations for auction items include: spa and restaurant gift certificates, family vacations, wine, jewelry, artwork and other items that would typically be “heavy bidding choices.” Typically, the smaller items are on display in the silent auction and larger, more substantial donations comprise the live auction.
If you would like to make a donation (or know someone that would), all donations are tax deductible. For example, if you donated a week rental at a vacation home, that is tax deductible as allowed by law since HMS is a non-profit corporation.
Would your company or someone you know be interested in a sponsorship?
As with other donations, all sponsorships are tax deductible. Additionally, businesses can use their sponsorships to obtain free advertising before, during and after the event. All sponsoring companies and families are listed on the school’s website, at the event and in local media publications. With sponsorships come the privilege of tickets ($500 for 2 tickets; $1,000 for 4 tickets; $2,000 for 6).

We would love to receive assistance in gaining auction items for the event. If you are interested, please contact Michele at hms@hilltopmontessori.com. If you are interested in sponsoring or a donation, please also contact Michele Scott in the front office. More information will follow as the event gets closer but it’s never too late to start gathering donations!
